It's Doors Open time in Hamilton!
Our 11th annual program – Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5 - presents 51 unique, exciting sites across the city.
Participating sites are listed under the Featured Sites tab. And a 12 page printed guidebook is on the streets.
Guidebooks are available at Tourism Hamilton, Hamilton Public Libraries, Municipal Service Centres, Hamilton Civic Museums and at various shops and cafes everywhere!
The 2013 guidebook is also available as an insert in the April edition of Urbanicity.
Or you may download your own copy.
Also, new this year, Tourism Hamilton is providing a Visit HamiltonApp which includes a map of all of the participating sites.
Click on the links to the left for both the App and the full guidebook download.
Regular hours are 10 am to 4 pm but be sure to check the lisings as some sites are only able to open reduced hours.
There are 2 pre-event programs – a guided tour of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church and a presentation on Tactical Urbanism launch event with our partners the Hamilton Burlington Society of Architects. Full details under the Events tab.
Have fun, explore Your City... Your Way... and afterwards please take a moment to tell us about your experience. Most sites will have comment cards and/or surveys so please share your ideas for 2014.
Enjoy!
And remember... this event is organized by community volunteers!
