Summers are the time for pool parties, sanding, surfing, and lots of eating! The level of mercury is exceptionally high during this time, and to keep up the energy we tend to eat all the food that’s served to us. Unhealthy Food, specifically. Another issue that most of the people face up during summers is Dehydration. Keep drinking water, no matter what season is going on!
5 Easy Diet Tips for Healthy Eating during the Summer Months!
To make sure that you have fun, enjoying time with your friends or family – you could note down these 5 proven Health Tips and embrace the Summers!
i. Fruits are full of Magic.
Fruits like grapes, watermelon, melons, oranges have anti-oxidant properties in them. By consuming these fruits, you can keep your body hydrated and also feel less stress-full. You can handle the stress by eating the food, at the right time. That’s a fact.
ii. Small meals at shorter intervals. Does that work?
Indeed it will. You can divide the meals into smaller portions making four to five meals a day. By doing so, you not only allow your body to digest the food easily but also increase the metabolism rate. This will also keep your sudden hunger pangs in better control! Don’t eat fruits which have been kept open or cut for a long time.
iii. Quality and Healthier BBQ food.
Who doesn’t love gorging over freshly cooked BBQ food? But keep a check on the BBQ food that you consume during your holidaying time. Go for fresh grilled chicken or fish BBQ which has more protein than the burgers and other food. Also, the former one will keep you full for a long time.
iv. Go Smart with the Smoothies & Cocktails!
I always go for Smoothies over the Juices anytime, because it’s the whole fruit which goes into the smoothie and this makes it more filling than the juices. You can opt for healthy smoothies which contain yogurt, seeds and milk contents in them.
The same goes for the cocktails, you can go with low-calorie drinks by adding lots of water with gin. You can add berries to this, and ice-cubes as per your preference.
v. Skip on your Frappuccino.
We all rush to have some cold Frappuccino during hot summers! But each cup of coffee contains almost 500 calories, and with 80kg of sugar in one serving. While there are a few coffee shops that share the ingredients, which is so cool and helpful.
